7 Reasons I Love Living in South Florida

I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to and lived in many different cities across the country. And while every community offers something unique, I’m always grateful to come back home to South Florida. It’s just a fantastic place to live.

Here are my top seven reasons why I ❤️ living here.

The weather

I love the year-round tropical weather in South Florida. December to April it is absolutely gorgeous! Mostly sunny, breezy, and warm.

The beach

South Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. And because they are so many of them, you can hop in the car and be at a beach in no time.

The outdoor recreation

South Florida is home to several professional sports teams, numerous golf courses, equestrian centers, dozens of sprawling parks, and countless other ways you can spend your day outdoors.

The food

South Florida has introduced me to some incredible food. Miami has long been a hub for various cultures, each with its own flavor and authentic cuisine. And from October 15th until May 1st, South Florida residents feast on stone crabs to our hearts’ content.

The people

One of the best aspects of living in South Florida is the people. This region has one of the most diverse, multilingual, and multicultural populations.

The lack of state income tax

Florida is one of the few states that does not collect income tax from its residents. That means spending capacity is higher, making for a better quality of life.

The equestrian life

Of course, my all-time top reason for loving South Florida is the equestrian lifestyle! This area is an equestrian paradise with tons of year-round riding, limitless stables, ranches, horse-friendly communities, and more.
